HUD - Initial references

The HUD implies a lot of attention in this game, since we are using Oculus. The HUD is not simply a polygon with graphics in front of the 3D camera. The HUD has to be all 3D objects in the scene in order to fit properly the immersive factor from the Oculus.


Here some initial references.
This is a dashboard from an ATV. The digital aspect and look is what calls my attention. And the minicamera feedback on the dashboard.




The english aircraft "Harrier" is the one that fits greatly to many of our spaceship conditions, since the cockpit also tends to be "bubbely". Sticks out slightly from the body of the plane in order to give more peripherical vision to the pilot. In a way is the sensation of being in a "Batiscafo" or a submarine that goes into the deep ocean.
